       Prayer to the Slight-Knowing imagines vast indifference to humankind from unseen universal powers. The work offers a solemn type of Agnosticism via warped/broken forms and dark dialogues probing unseen powers for answers, while offering some lighthearted implications through the cast objects and their toy-like scale. The piece is derived from human beings’ attempt to answer questions about their role in the “grand scheme.” The piece asks the viewer to consider unseen, malicious powers are unlikely interested in humanity at all, let alone possess an interest in destroying it. Such forces may instead serve as one of a million answers to questions like: “Does the universe even care that I’m here” or “Should I bother worrying about it?”
